As our Art Director, you will be responsible for ideating and creating world class creative deliverables for our brand. A successful candidate is a talented hands on Art Director with a history of developing strong brand affinity through visual creative. In this role, you’ll translate brand strategy and business goals into compelling visual stories. You’re equal parts conceptual thinker and hands-on maker: comfortable pitching big ideas, refining details, and collaborating across teams to bring campaigns to life.

This role is located at our New York headquarters, located in the TriBeCa design district. 

Responsibilities

• Serve as the brand’s Art Director, creating strong visual design for relevant campaign and photoshoot work across all integrated marketing channels, including Site (landing pages), Growth (emails, brand advertising), Retail, and more.
• Oversee the visual development of assets, including ads, social media content, web pages, email, packaging, presentations, and print collateral.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to designers and production partners to refine work and maintain high creative standards.
• Ensure all creative output is on-brand, consistent in quality and tone, and optimized for each channel and format.
• Create campaign and photoshoot concepts that go beyond the obvious – they sell Maiden Home creatively, trying to activate a client emotionally, rather than just logically.
• Oversee photoshoots, video shoots, and other production efforts: from pre-production planning and shot lists to on-set direction.
• Help define and evolve visual identity systems, including guidelines, templates, and design standards.
• Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to ideate and create impactful campaigns, print and digital content, and creative assets that reflect Maiden Home’s brand strategy, positioning, and business goals. 
• Stay informed on design trends, tools, and best practices, and bring fresh inspiration to the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience consisting of the following: (1) Multiple years as an IC Designer, (2) Multiple years executing high quality photoshoots as an Art Director side by side with photographers other visual Designers and (3) Multiple years building landing pages, ads, and other assets in-house at a Design oriented company.
• Brilliant portfolio of Art Direction in a luxury goods, fashion, and/or direct-to-consumer advertising context. This is your craft and you take it seriously – always looking for ways to practice, improve, and learn.  
• Experience working closely with a Founder & CEO and translating their company vision and strategy into a clear creative vision and set of creative outputs.
• Experienced creative generalist with a sophisticated understanding of web and graphic design, fluency with copy, photographer, and video.
• You thrive in situations with ambiguity and complexity and like to iterate to achieve the best outcomes.

• Substantial experience supporting the creative needs of Brand Marketing, Growth Marketing, and E-Commerce. 
• Leadership traits of being flexible, enterprising and collaborative and is highly tolerant of ambiguity, complexity and occasional lack of existing processes or structure in an early stage start-up environment
