Job Description

A Test Engineer job in San Antonio, Texas 78226 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, and six plus years of experience testing under DO-160 standards. Experience with aerospace auxiliary power units is strongly preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for working with complex aircraft requirements to develop and execute tests to validate and verify the requirements. Experience with control and integration of propulsion/engines, including installation. Adherence to customer specific guidelines and standards Job Duties:

• Setup, execute environmental tests and investigate and resolve failures.
• Author, review and approve test results.
• Develop, execute and evaluate tests to DO-160 standards
• Analyze and document test discrepancies and report them back to the customer
• Translate test results in comparison to system expectations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience designing and executing environmental tests adhering to customer and FAA requirements.
• Extensive experience with environmental test setup and execution. Strong understanding of DO-160 principles.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills regarding technical subjects
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. born citizen
• Secret Clearance is a plus, ability to obtain a must

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Hands-on experience with high reliability mission critical environmental testing
• Ability to gather and derive software, hardware, and system requirements from customer provided documentation and engaging with customer to refine defined/derived requirements.
• Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting test procedures
• Software skills using LabVIEW, C#, C++, C, Python, and SQL

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $95,000-$130,000.
