Sugar And Scribe in La Jolla, CA is looking for one baker to join our 52 person strong team. We are located on 7660 Fay Ave Suite I. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.

Bread Bakers

Pay DOE $18-$20 an hour + shift meal + uniforms provided + 401k after vested period + set schedule!

Head Viennoiserie Chef Karina Godinez leads this amazing team of rotating seasonal inspirational items!!

Sugar and Scribe is renowned for its cakes, cupcakes, cookies, scones, pies and other baked goods. Our pastry team is the best in the industry. You will be expected to work our 8 hour shift , some shifts are on weekends. You will be expected to be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and lift 25-50 pounds of product safely. 

• Weigh and measure ingredients
• Mix and blend batters
• Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products.
• Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
• Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods
• Prepare and maintain inventory
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
• Experience as a Baker a plus
