Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Details: 
  • FLSA Non-Exempt 
  • 24 hours per week - room to grow
  • Eligible for prorated benefits package
  • Competitive hourly wage DOQ, DOE

Position Summary: 

Under the general direction and supervision of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Director, this position will be an integral member of a patient’s care team at by assisting the pharmacist in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care while working at the top of the technician license capability. Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. All activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and are carried out in the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.

Position Requirements: 

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • License: Certified Pharmacy Technician national certification and State of Montana Pharmacy Technician License is preferred; 
  • Tech-in-Training license is accepted; we may be willing to train the right person if no certification is held.
  • Experience: Two years prior experience in a retail pharmacy setting serving a diverse patient population is preferred.
  • Other: Must be able to pass a criminal background check.


Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • General office/clinic conditions are pleasant; good, clean working conditions where accidents and hazards are negligible; 
  • Requires short periods of moderate lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to twenty pounds. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • The employee frequently is required to handle and move objects by using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; 
  • Speech clarity and recognition. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision and the ability to see colors. 
  • Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with the staff and public. 


This position is based in Butte, MT. However, employees may be required to use a company or personal vehicle to travel to Dillon very rarely, and as such, a valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
