Chemical Process Engineer
Location: Oxnard, CA WHO WE ARE: Jedson Engineering is an Engineering Consultancy headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. We provide full-service engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services to industrial process manufacturers that operate in pulp & paper, chemical, life sciences, CPG, F&B, power and heavy industrial market markets across the nation. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: This role will specialize on Pulp & Paper Processing and Engineering, and will be a fully remote position in the Oxnard, VA area to support clients and projects in that area. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the paper making, chemical, and / or food + beverage industries, and is looking to take their next step in specializing in the P+P industry. In this position, you'll join a dynamic engineering team in the execution of client projects. This person will execute process designs within their area of specialty or expertise that includes the research and analysis of data to make sound design decisions aligned with company, client, and project objectives. You'll be expected to apply theory in a practical context to determine feasibility of design, identify potential process upsets and malfunctions incorporating appropriate remediations, and apply commercially available technology for process execution. Strong communication skills, collaboration and courage to challenge the status quo are cornerstones of the Jedson Edge. +8-10 years of chemical engineering experience, primarily focused on chemical process design B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in one or more of the following industries: Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Food and/or Beverage, preferred. Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFD's, P&ID's, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists. Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
