Job Description

We’re hiring a Data Entry Specialist in Chicago IL 60608 with $17.00/hr for a 3-month contract, temp role . In this role, you’ll be responsible for high-volume data entry from physical medical files into a database, while also handling light lifting tasks. Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Roles and Requirements:

• Available to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (EST)
• Able to lift and carry cartons weighing 30–50 lbs every 5–7 minutes
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods
• Must wear protective, slip-resistant safety footwear (ASTM F2413-11 compliant)
• Strong typing speed (10,000 KPH) with 100% accuracy
• High attention to detail and strong computer literacy
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of meeting productivity goals
• Organized and able to manage file tracking and storage
• Experience in warehouse or document-handling environments is a plus
• Must follow safety procedures and PPE requirements

Essential Functions:

• Perform high-volume data entry from medical files into database systems
• Lift and carry 30–50 lb cartons between pallet and workstation
• Maintain 10,000 KPH typing speed with 100% accuracy
• Organize, return, and manage physical files after entry
• Work primarily seated, with occasional lifting and walking tasks
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Ensure accuracy of data entered through double-key verification
