In this position, you will perform detailed scientific DNA analysis on criminal investigative casework. Your focus will be on cases that involve large quantities of cellular material and a small number of evidence items from which results can be easily obtained. Your responsibilities will include isolating, extracting, and amplifying human DNA from blood or physiological fluid-stained items. Using a variety of chemical and biological techniques, you will identify the genetic profiles of the extracted forensic DNA. You will determine the appropriate scientific tests to conduct, interpret the analytical results, and prepare comprehensive written reports detailing your findings.Interested in learning more?
