Responsibilities:
  • At GDIT, we are seeking an Information Security Analyst with mastery-level knowledge of IT security risk management activities under the Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53, etc.). In this role, I will support our contract with the Administrative Office of United States Courts – Administrative Office Technology Office (AOUSC-AOTO) in Washington D.C.
  • I will collaborate with the contractor team and government customers to determine and develop approaches to information system security solutions that meet published security requirements. This position requires strong critical thinking and analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills. My specific tasks will include:
  • Developing and/or analyzing Judiciary information system security plans (SSP) that conform to the Judiciary Information Security Framework - JISF.
  • Assisting with O&M activities related to the vulnerability management program at AOTO, including communication with stakeholders and management of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Using CSAM as a Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) management tool.
  • Applying technical expertise in computer security controls and practices for a broad range of areas, including certification, accreditation of government information, IT disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Ensuring integration of IT programs and services and developing solutions to interoperability issues.
  • Formulating and implementing new policies and procedures regarding security measures in compliance with Judiciary and AOTO policies.
  • Collaborating with program offices and customers throughout the system lifecycle to ensure security considerations are integrated.
  • Evaluating security controls and providing expertise on AOTO’s IT security architecture and emerging technologies.

Our ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience at a Federal Agency (preferably in the Executive Branch) working with NIST 800 Series publications as a Risk Management Framework Subject Matter Expert (SME). Additionally, I expect at least 8 years of progressive IT experience, including Five (5) years in IT security policy and risk analysis in support of Federal Government initiatives.

I am looking for someone with exceptional knowledge of security controls and theories, mastery of government standards like NIST Risk Management Framework, and a solid understanding of methods and tools for risk management. Strong research and communication skills are essential, as I will engage with various stakeholders regularly.

The likely salary range for this position is between $121,680 and $149,500. However, salary is subject to negotiation based on experience and geographic location. This position is scheduled for 40 hours a week and offers remote telecommuting options.
