**Overview** GovCIO is currently hiring for an Instructional Designer to develop and design learning experiences and to create effective training materials. This position will be located in Columbia, MD and will be on-site position. **Responsibilities** Manage projects, develop learning objectives, create assessments, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Collaborates with and gathers course material from subject matter experts. Creating and developing various learning materials, including online courses, training manuals, and interactive elements.Writing, editing, and organizing content to align with learning objectives and target audience needs. Applying instructional design principles and models (ADDIE) to create effective learning experiences.Identifying learning needs and gaps in existing content, often working with subject matter experts to understand training requirements. + Must be able to collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and multimedia specialists. + Utilizing various instructional technologies and software, including (LMS) and e-learning development tools, to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. + Creates criteria for determining course effectiveness and makes improvements. + Identifying learning needs and gaps in existing content, often working with subject matter experts to understand training requirements. + May evaluate end-users to determine technological literacy, learning capacity, and teaching methodology. + Assessing the effectiveness of learning materials and making adjustments based on feedback and performance data. + Must be knowledgeable and capable of operating various computer based training systems including distance learning and long range facilitated group discussions. **Qualifications** High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience + Clearance Required: Secret + 3-5 years of knowledge/experience creating engaging cyber-security training focusing on practical application and multi-platform delivery + Skilled in instructional design, UX principles, e-learning development, and communication ***PENDING CONTRACT AWARD*** Preferred Skills and Experience: Certified Professional in Learning and Perfor-mance (CPLP) Association for Talent Development (ATD) certifications, and specific instructional design methodologies certifications. **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
