The Quality Engineer 2 within Humana Government Business carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The Quality Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Quality Engineer 2:
Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
May create test data for applications.
Documents and works to resolve all complex problems.
Reports progress on problem resolution to management.
Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers.
Performs complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Less than 5 years of technical experience
Experience performing and leading tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS- National Background Investigation Service)
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position

Work at Home Guidance

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$73,400 - $100,100 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
