Position snapshot

• Location: Onsite, New Port Richey, FL
• Schedule: Second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:15 PM–11:15 PM; overtime is routine
• Team: Pall Aerospace Machine Shop
• Level: Manual Machinist II (senior-level manual machining)

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes and mills to machine complex castings, forgings, and bar stock; deburr throughout the process.
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and sketches; select appropriate workholding (chucks, collets, faceplates, vises, sine plates) and build tools/fixtures as needed.
• Indicate machine axes, fixtures, tooling, and components to achieve demanding tolerances.
• Validate quality using hand gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, functional gauges, and an optical comparator (shadow graph).
• Troubleshoot machining processes, correct issues, and maintain documentation (scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and data).

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus a minimum of three (3) years on manual machining equipment.
• Solid shop math; capable of reading blueprints/machine drawings and following work instructions; working knowledge of GD&T.
• Effective communicator who follows verbal and written directions; able to work overtime. FAA certification may be required.

Physical and work environment

• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs with assistance (daily).
• Stand 8+ hours; frequent twisting and bending.
• Pass a visual acuity examination.
• Handle solvents, oils, and other chemicals.

Preferred background

• Prior aerospace manual machining experience.
