About the Role: This is a senior-level (5+ years) position responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated test cases. Responsibilities include understanding secure application development lifecycle (SADLC), collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases, generating and documenting test plans/strategies, creating testing reports and metrics, as well as generating and acquiring test data. The candidate will work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile development environment. The role involves creating build environment-specific test suites ({DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD}) with integrated application lifecycle management and requires in-person work in downtown Lansing 2 days a week.

Requirements:

Must Have:
- 5+ years\' experience in software QA/testing
- Designing and executing manual and automated test cases
- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes (QA, UAT, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, Data Conversion)
- Issue tracking and defect management
- Generating and documenting test plans and strategies
- API testing experience with tools such as Postman, Rest Client, etc.
- SQL and P-SQL query writing
- Reporting with metrics
- Ability to work onsite in Lansing 2 days/week
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Provar, Katalon
- Azure DevOps Testing Module
- Mobile App testing (iOS/Android)
- Familiarity with JMeter, LoadRunner
- ADA Compliance testing tools (AccVerify, JAWS, etc.)
