Trencher Operator Trainee
Location: Nationwide (Predominantly in Lamar, CO)
Pay: Average of $65k - $75k/Year (Based on working schedule)
HL Chapman Pipeline Construction is the leader in trenching for utilities and Oil & Gas as well as mass rock excavation.
HL Chapman is seeking highly motivated and energetic self-starters looking to be an operator trainee for various trenchers of all sizes. A trainee assists in keeping the machine operating and being the operator’s lookout on the ground for potential hazards. There is the opportunity for growth if the trainee would like to learn how to operate our equipment (Valid DL is required).
Responsibilities:
Under direction of the operator, you will provide support in trenching tasks such as setting line up rods, opening gaps, assist with servicing the trencher (fueling, blowing out filters), changing teeth as needed and being the ground lookout for potential hazards along with checking trench depths, etc.
Note that this position is a FIELD position, which includes working outdoors and in the sun. Our preferred candidate is not deterred by those factors.
