Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: We are looking for an organized, skilled, and motivated warehouse supervisor to join our team. The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff. An ability to multitask, communicate well, and delegate are essential to this role. The warehouse supervisor may occasionally operate heavy machinery, drive equipment, or company vehicles so a candidate with experience, valid driver's license, and clean driving record is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation, review, and distribution of project documentation, including internal and external purchase orders, fabrication packets, and loading tickets.
  • Stage orders for delivery
  • Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible to team members.
  • Enter accurate project data into our ERP system and generate work tickets, materials lists and drawings from ERP and project management systems.
  • Meet safety needs on every task
  • Encourage a culture of safety consciousness
  • Ensure workplace safety by staying abreast on internal health and safety protocols.
  • Inspect the work environment; looking for potential hazards and ensuring that safety protocols are in place.
  • Remain well-versed in OSHA regulations and make certain entire team follows them.
  • Provide leadership on personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Oversee the processing, organization, and proper storage of inventory;
  • Manage inventory to replenish.
  • Address manpower, material, and machinery needs with team
  • Convey instructions clearly, listen to feedback, and resolve issues promptly/efficiently.
  • Conduct analysis of issues presented and create corrective action plan.
  • Monitor staff attendance and complete proper disciplinary action forms when attendance issues violate company policies.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members.
  • Oversee the prompt and accurate assembly and loading of materials
  • Serve as a resource to the loading and unloading team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems and work effectively with other staff.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
  • Ability to successfully pass drug test/background check/work physical
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • License or certification as dictated by the state to operate heavy machinery as needed
  • Must follow all health & safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the company, state, and/or OSHA

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of shift
  • Ability to remain sedentary for a fair portion of shift to perform administrative duties.
  • Must possess the ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of fifty pounds.
  • Twist, reach and bend often.
  • Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
  • Ability to use close, vision, distance vision, and adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in an environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hot and cold conditions, noise, chemicals, heavy equipment, and machinery.
